An Alexandrine Christmas Tale

Mistletoe hangs from rafters, dangling ‘twixt two souls.
Brown eyes hopefully sparkle into nervous emerald orbs.
A tangible truth expelled, destinies intertwined.
Beneath the magic holly, a Christmas love is born.
Kinfolk get together; meet ’round the humble tree.
Pretty bags and boxes, glittering with promise.
Leaping hearts sing with joy, the wonders of the Earth.
Saturated in love, a spark from within alights.

I’m really enjoying the Alexandrine poetry challenge. This was so fun to write, and now I feel all Christmas-y inside!
