There’s a feeling when you’ve read a book,
Consumed the entire thing,
And your world is shook
It’s left you desiring
To be in that place
With the characters you love,
And love to hate.
From pirate ships, dancing on the rolling waves,
To spies on adventures, or futuristic enclaves,
Within a book, lies beneficial potential,
Even if the connections are existential.
You’ve left your heart between the pages
With the warriors, dragons, and mages,
And turn your head up to the sky
Listlessly,
Wistfully,
Dreaming of being
A part of the story inside.
Love this one. I feel it every time I close a book. Its something I haven’t been able to do it in a while and I miss it. Beautiful work my friend.

Thanks, Jim! Such a sad, yet satisfying feeling, to end a great book.
