Acid rain splatters down
On a plum-tinted town.
About to drown.
The sun, once gold,
Obscured by the clouds –
A smog that enshrouds
The rich mines of coal.
And the polluted grounds.
Humans caused the world to splinter,
When they brought on this Nuclear Winter.
With their fossil fuels and blatant denial
Of Global Warming
They laughed and smiled.
All the while
Misinforming
And ignoring
All the warnings.
Now no one’s left to put on trial.
Written for the #ThreeThingsChallenge #TTC #335 – ‘Plum, Gold, Rich‘
Very nicely done. Very apocalyptic and thought provoking!
